I checked with my wife, who is a Kindle owner/user and who regularly reads Amazon Kindle books. I asked, 'Have you received an email from Amazon on Terms of Service ammendments recently? The answer was a polite NO. My wife has had a Kindle for 13 yrs and has over 500 books on her Amazon Kindle account. She has been pleased with the Kindle to date, but this may be about to change when I inform her of the terms of service change. I did get her to check her DELETED and SPAM mail folders, still nothing. I will start downloading her 500 books tomorrow.

I have read information that appears to indicate that some Kindle owners have received emails on Amazon Terms of Service changes that details the download removal. So what is going on? How come some people have been informed and others not?

Has Amazon had some sort of technical breakdown or housekeeping issue that has affected their ability to inform all Kindle owners? Surely, with Amazon's technical might, they can mange to collate emails and send out appropriately. Or is something else going on?

Kindle owners are already talking about jumping ship because of this issue, now Amazon must have millions of Kindle owners around the world so how will jumping ship affect their bottom financial line?
