New page

The Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus

removed "3d touch" interactivity in iOS after a software update. This made the user experience noticeably and immediately more shitty. Prior the update the 3d touch interactions worked fine and added to the "premium" feel of using the phone. The hardware and capability of the phone didnt change. Apple perhaps wanted a consistent UX across their phones, and since the new phones weren't going to have pressure sensitive screens, they downgraded the iPhones that did (6s & 6s+) with a software update, to no longer make use of their pressure sensitive screen, that consumers paid for, some of whom selected the phone for that feature.
