			MAN I am really bad at short sentences: Go to -> My Account, there you see in the Middle the option to cancel your subscription. beside this option is the another button that says -> Pause subscription. Even if you ignore this button and press on "Cancel subscription" you get forwarded to another page. The first thing you see there is the "scare tactic (Loss of Token/Audiobooks)" if you cancel, even doe you already pressed cancel! This step at least in germany is illegal, be it the scare tactic or the ignorance of the first cancalation attempt. Furthermore on the forwarded page after the first cancalation press, you again get shown at the top of the page, the option to rather pause the cancalation, instead of for example: Yes I am sure CANCEL NOWWWWWWWW! ;-) this is now hidden at the bottom of the page. You have to scroll past ADs that inform of audiobooks that for some reason now are included into your "User controlcenter", keep in mind I started in the Account settings, now I get shown ADs, the option to pause and an obstructed way to the REAL cancel button. This is clearly obfuscation at the least and in my countrys case, pretty much illegal.

			I start with this I doubt my english is good enough to write these topics on my own thats why I add a topic for it. I read most of the rules and policies on here and they are way to strict for writing style, I get why they are there and it would be possible for me to adhere to them, but only with a significant time investment. As I am not a native speaker (German) this pretty much cripples my ability or even my want/engagement to be an author myself. I hate to adhere to so many rules, I espeaially hate the word police therefore I only suggest topics. I only added this part because people probably wonder why I dont do it myself.

			My distain for consumer right violations and my sense of justice is vastly bigger then this meager concern, therefore I still try to participate. All of this comes from the lense of Audible.de as stated already in the article my account does not work in a lot of other countrys (Geoblocking), funnly enough most of EU, works except the censor country across the sea (UK).

			This is something that is a little more complex then it sounds. I worked for small company that used Parity-ERP, that is the backbone or probably was the backbone of Amazon/Audible I should rather say one of the backbones. Same software is used for the german Shop Alternate.de, pretty big as a B2B seller of Hardware. I mention this because the small company I worked for is, probably was one of paritys oldest customer. Therefore we had a Support-line directly towards them, old good contracts. Nowadays you probably pay a fortune.

			So back to what I mean with obfuscation or exclusion of titles, I know for a fact that audibles search function is altered in a way to obfuscate or even outright exclude Titles that are included in their Subscribtion as long as you still have Tokens left at least in germany. This is done so you buy a new audiobook instead of coasting the free ones, the reason for this behavior is pretty simple they hope you buy something and after you buy it you buy more tokens in the same month instead if using for example the free included Audiobooks.

			How do I know that? Beside the tecnical aspect that, every audiobook in the database parity accesses has a flag for the free and non free versions including the type of account (free,sub +token,-token) you use while searching for a new audiobook to lsiten to. Its pretty simple, if you have a token there is no AD-banner on the page after login, if you have no token it shows up. It tells you there are also free Audiobooks included only if you have no Tokens left. Nice people could think thats a nice move of them but in acuallity the reason is the one I mentioned before. Thats only the first thing sadly.

			The search is delibritly different between the IOS, Android Version and the Browser Version. This is btw, a hard point to argue because they always change it, sometimes in a good way but most of the time in a bad way for the customer.

			Sometimes they even broke the law in germany, but smarter people probably advised them to backdown in germany because these changes always got revoked. One example it the obfuscation of the cancelation option because audible falls under the abbonement/subscribtion regulation in germany. As phone companys pretty much forced most countrys to implement them, they are pretty strict in germany. For now it looks like they adhere to them on paper, but also try to make them as annoying as possible. Next Topic is for that:

			This is probably the most vague addition. People with IT-Knowledge deeper then mine have to explain this. Lets say I want to stream the audiobook I am hearing right now, I could pretty much do that with every smart device that is capable of reciving the transmission be it thru Bluetooth or every other tecnology that is used to transmit. That does not work for Audible, it activly only allows specific Software/Hardware to recieve even if the Hardware capability of both recivier and transmitter is there. I only noticed it because I though why not stream the Audiobook to a samsung Smart-TV via, screenshare or quick connect.

			Audible activly stops this and even disconnects the connection if active, I am pretty sure thats illigal from the phone maurfacture point of view. I dont think it was my hardware, I think the reason is more Audibles invasive attempt of DRM/Copyprotection because Samsumg could use the quickshare/screenshare function to recieve audio and therefore copy it easyly even doe you use in both cases completly legal hardware to listen to your audiobooks. I am certain when stuff like this gets finally picked up by our slow as fu goverments this will be made illigeal. Of course if you Install the Audible app on the Smartdevive if possible or even existing, it works. Just saying, even doe the hardware could do it without it and completly normally, like for example connecting to a bluetooth speaker.


			Thats it from me, as you can see I write WAY to much. I doubt this convoluted style of input would be a good thing on the site if not condensed and even corrected on some parts.

			So now I go to a web.de thread if existing, because they are pretty much a case study for anti cosumer behavhoir and illigal too.

			I save this and come back for questions later, I doubt I was clear on everything.
