This sentence reads as vague and inflammatory, rather than appropriately damning. ( "un-patched" for months is serious, but "were only acknowledged after public disclosure" is often an appropriate, if its ''public'' acknowledgment withheld for a reasonable amount of time while a patch is developed. And the cites don't quite back up the claims, though probably other citations in the article could back up those or similar claims. <br />
