			I specifically bring this up because of the recommendation of Trim, the OneMain version of Rocket Money. When clicking the link, I'd initially expected it would be some financial tool with crowd-sourced identifiers for various subscription services that you could drop your statements into to identify unintentional spending. On actually reading the Privacy Policy, however, it's very much the same case as any other major finance app where they're sharing your every identifier to advertisers and retaining your personal information for up to 12 months.

			I'm not saying this is inherently wrong or that such practices should immediately disqualify it from being listed on the site, but I do think it would be in the spirit of the wiki to add some kind of identifier for tools/services which are run by entities prone to anti-consumer practices, just to help someone who might assume that any tool recommended by users of the wiki would also abide by the apparent values of the wiki, without them actually verifying that such is the case. I think something similar to the adjacent tool's [requires subscription] label would suffice. Maybe even just an asterisk with a line at the bottom of the box clarifying that while this tool is useful, it comes with one or more anti-consumer concessions.

			I think the ultimate "fix" for this is to create individual pages for each tool, or category of tool, or one long "Consumer Tools" page with fleshed out details on each item, but that's a much more involved project than what I think would be sufficient for right now(TM).

			That said, I can also see the argument that one should be privy to the privacy policy and ToS with any product, so perhaps that behavior is assumed and this isn't considered to be within the scope of the wiki. That, along with determining the specifics if something were to be implemented to address my concern, is why I thought it would make sense to put this in the Talk page. 			The Clippy Daily Dot article link is incorrect in the "In the News" template being transcluded to the Main Page

			The correct link says "pfp" (profile picture) and the incorrect link says "pfx" for some reason.


			It was a pain to find the transcluded template with the error:

			Would it be possible to have a section for an archive of wiring diagramsand maybe user manuals? I havee no ideas how it could be archived ie by year the product was made, or company, or company product subproduct.

			I worry that may bring unwanted attention from companies trying to keep their diagrams proprietary. That or this will be the location of the next top secret leak.

			I could also see this being a data sink that is rarely used.

			Hi everyone,

			I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I’m a transfemoral amputee using a second-hand Bluetooth-enabled prosthetic knee. The knee itself is fully functional, but it’s an older, discontinued model, and that’s where the problem starts.

			The manufacturer’s configuration software is now obsolete and no longer supported, so my prosthetist cannot reconfigure the knee using official tools anymore. I do have legitimate access:
			• The device is mine

			• I can successfully connect to it via Bluetooth

			• I have the pairing key and can use the mobile app
			However, the mobile app only exposes very limited settings, and I need access to deeper / advanced configuration parameters that directly affect my gait, stability, and overall mobility. These settings clearly exist (they were adjustable when the device was still supported), but they’re now locked behind software that no longer runs.

			What I’m trying to understand is whether it’s possible to:
			• Inspect or understand the Bluetooth communication used by the original software/app

			• Identify the relevant commands, characteristics, or protocol used to configure the knee

			• Modify or send specific configuration values using modern tools, without relying on the deprecated software
			This is not about bypassing security or hacking a device I don’t own — it’s a medical device that I depend on daily, and I’m simply trying to regain access to functionality that the hardware is already capable of, but software obsolescence has taken away.

			I’m open to learning and doing this properly, and I understand this may involve BLE analysis, protocol reverse-engineering, or embedded/Bluetooth tooling. Even high-level guidance on where to start (tools, workflows, or similar experiences) would be incredibly helpful.

			If anyone has experience with:
			• Bluetooth or BLE reverse engineering

			• GATT analysis, packet sniffing, or custom Bluetooth protocols
			or is willing to help guide me through this, I’d be deeply grateful. This isn’t just a technical curiosity — it’s about maintaining my independence and quality of life.
