I was not able to log in to my old oculus account and a constant error message showes that i need to enter some code when asked by meta.<br /> <br /> - I followed the website on screen (something oculus.com) but there was no site. I was redirected to the meta homepage.<br /> <br /> - Tried to recover my account there but no luck. There i was already a bit miffed because i bauth 2 or 3 apps on said account.<br /> <br /> - At this point i could still connect with Sidequest and start apps via workaround through the Windows program<br /> <br /> - Because this was not satisfactory i was dumb enough to do a factory reset. <br /> <br /> - I was greeted with the message that i NEED a so called Horizon app to setup the device. WTF?!<br /> <br /> - Couldn&#039;t even get into the standard operating environment. Now i startet to get really grumpy. <br /> <br /> - a basic function is now blocked because of some forced firmware update 3+ years ago.<br /> <br /> - With grinding teeth I created a random account on Meta and installed the stupid Horizon app<br /> <br /> - But no dice. The *** app can connect to the Quest (this is also acknowledged inside the headset), but the setup process grinds to a halt at the &quot;Safety Briefing&quot;.<br /> <br /> - It is frustrating enough that none of the explainations during setup are skippable, wich takes around 10 minutes to get to the safety thing.<br /> <br /> - But then waiting for a random 4 minute video to end?!... The video was playing in a loop and i let the thing run for a while. It&#039;s ridicoulus. the first time it send me through a loop inside the help section, wich brought me back to the bot after several clicks.<br /> <br /> - second time i didn&#039;t fall for this, an i stayed in the chat window, demanding a human support.
