Because I run my own local server through AM, I don't rely on Belkin's cloud service; remote control is administered through my Google Drive account, to which I have access and which I can manage on my own. Consequently, my Wemo network is much more secure than any platform that relies on a privately-held cloud service (many of which are based in China...).
