User Freedom: - Some GE refrigerators equipped with a smart water filter system produced after 2019 now have Leak-Detecting Sensing Technology. The system requires a XWFE or a RPWFE water filter, and they are very similar to the XWF and RPWF filters except they now they have RFID chips. These fridges are not backwards compatible with the older standards, as the water dispenser will simply refuse to operate without an RFID chipped filter. This needlessly limits your replacement filter options to more expensive products.{{Placeholder box|Overview of concerns that arise from the conduct towards users of products part of the product line.
