I have added screenshots from the lenovo vantage software I took when I have encountered non-genuine message to serve as a citation. Also I have expanded section a bit adding a workaround that worked for me. Please help with formatting, I couldn't figure out how to put image gallery to the right side

===Disabling third-party batteries===
A common issue where third-party batteries that were working perfectly fine without being allowlisted suddenly got disabled and, as a result, no longer charge nor function.{{CitationNeeded}} There are no error messages, and the only way to know is to install the Vantage software to see the non-genuine battery warning. {{CitationNeeded}} This is a critical issue, as perfectly working hardware that is slightly outdated by a couple of years is basically turned into e-waste, and original parts are getting harder to come by with every passing day.{{CitationNeeded}} Though it is possible to salvage a heavily used part online, tear it down for a board donor and resolder it with new battery cells. Initially it shows low health, but with more cycles it seems to be able to calibrate health data. <gallery>
