Not all Omada equipment requires the app to set up. For example, the ER706W/EW706W-4G can be set up using the routers' native web interfaces: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/4075/

I had to do some configuration of my router recently, and noticed the tplink app is now full of ads for partner companies/antivirus/advanced features to run on my router on a subscription plan.  Has anyone else noticed that?  It seems pretty unobtrusive, but also a little scammy. I had to do some configuration of my router recently, and noticed the tplink app is now full of ads for partner companies/antivirus/advanced features to run on my router on a subscription plan.
