::Yes, its to do with anti-cheat, though I'm not sure if it was kernel level as this was back in 2021? users had been able to get around the Linux ban by editing the (hypervisor?) so that it looked like a windows device and the game apparently worked fine. However, people doing this would get their accounts banned. All this information is from recall and I'm not sure on my own accuracy.
