Sandisk Connect Wireless is a product line of flash drives with Wi-Fi capability, enabling them to be controlled & accessed over a network instead of relying on USB.
SanDisk Wireless Drive and SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick are devices of these series, and they were produced by Wearable, Inc., which was acquired by Western Digital in June 2018. Both products were derived from Wearable Inc.'s AirStash wireless server platform.
These devices broadcast a Wi-Fi access point, allowing connected devices to manage contents of the disk from Sandisk's mobile apps or, alternatively, visiting the web server locally hosted by the device.
Sandisk announced 18 September 2020 that they would no longer support their Connect Wireless Flash Drive app in order to "migrate users to newer products, services, and apps", effective 18 March 2021.[1]
The devices are still usable to this day since they expose a local web server to manage the device over network and manage the files stored on the disk, however the full functionality was only available through Sandisk's now de-listed mobile apps.
