Incident articles should be able to be referred to as something of a "historical record" and should have a good deal of factual content relating to the event(s) in question, complete with links to, and citations of, various contemporary sources.

Theme articles are a useful tool for determining what is and isn't suitable for inclusion in the wiki, defining and explaining concepts related to consumer protection.Theme articles will be subjected to a higher level of protection than average articles, as it is important that they are high-quality.

Revision as of 18:42, 14 March 2025

The three places we're hoping to make progress this coming weekend are:

  • Fix up the company articles to fit the new template - We've got a whole list of companies where many of them don't have a structure that fits with the sample company template. Take a look at the sample company help page for more pointers and example articles. It'll also be a great chance to rewrite any articles or article segments that could do with a touch-up!
  • To help out with the quality of links in the wiki, you can use the cite web template to fix up citations in the articles that need it, as well as replace as many live links with archival links as possible. You can add citations both using the visual and text editor, take a look here for some pointers.
  • Look for any articles which should contain notices, and mark them accordingly so that others can take a look at them, as well as using the talk pages to point out any more complex or nuanced issues you spot. More information on the notices can be found in the linked page.

Keep an eye out for the next update for more information. There will be shoutouts for the winners! And possibly a badge/role too. In the meantime, feel free to experiment and let us know if anything needs further clarification. Keep up the great work everyone!
