Consumer-impact summary[edit | edit source]

Western Digital, along with Seagate, own a majority of the market share in the hard drive industry.[1]

Western Digital uses a hybrid business model which allows them to sell their products through their own website, on digital storefronts such as Amazon, NewEgg, and Alibaba, and directly to commercial clients.
