Between 05 May and 18 August 2016, Popeyes franchise CCC Restaurant Enterprises, LLC experienced a malware attack across 10 locations (7 being from Texas, 2 from North Carolina, 1 from Georgia) that leaked customers name, card number, expiration date, and security code. On 09 July, the company conducted an investigation after being alerted of the attack by its third-party payment processor.
