Takedown request of an open source Home Assistant integration (2024.01.15)

On 15 January 2024, Haier sent a takedown request to the developer of the hOn Home Assistant integration. Which makes Haier, Candy and Hoover products controllable via Home Assistant.[1]
Following immense consumer and media pressure, Haier reversed their decision.[2]
