Following Google's acquisition of Fitbit and after many years, Google released much of the Pebble Smart Watch source code on github (excluding proprietary libraries). Core Devices and Rebble replaced the usage of the proprietary libraries with open source alternatives, and released new Android and iOS apps, not only supporting the new core devices, but bringing updated support to legacy Pebble devices.

|Dell
|
|I found a rare configuration of a Dell Precision on eBay (7540/Core i9 /Radeon WX 3200) with a disclosed BIOS lock, essentially making it e-waste/parts. I contacted Dell on their website and in a live chat to ask if for a fee they could unlock it for me should I buy it. After some cajoling I eventually got the tech to say, contact us when you receive it. So when it arrived I did and after taking a phone pic of the bottom cover/service tag with the date and ticket number written by hand, I uploaded it and the tech said someone will email you within 24 hours with an unlock code, which they actually followed through on! One less machine in the landfill, thanks Dell.
