(Starting in September 2025, United Chargers Inc. has begun putting the ability to configure a custom Open Charge Point Protocol backend in their car chargers behind a $199USD paywall. The chargers are still being sold as OCPP-compliant, with no indication on the product page of the extra cost associated with actually using the protocol.)
