Background edit

(This page is in a preliminary state!) Gigantti is a large consumer electronics store chain operating in Finland. In recent years the company has gained a bad reputation for customers and employees alike, for their several systematic anti-customer practices.

[Incident] edit

The company has come under fire in recent years for bundling their additional subscription services and/or their partners services with electronic products by default, often even when the product in question has little to no relation to the bundled service. These additional subscriptions are often not even clearly stated to the customer, as the customer is often informed of these additions in misleading language that makes the customer assume that it is a necessary part of the initial product. This practice is seemingly designed to pray on people who may not be that technically literate, such as the elderly. Many elderly customers have reported feeling used after paying much more than they initially expected, due to these additional services that were aggressively pushed by the Gigantti employees.
