Consumer impact summary
- Forced Arbitration: The company's terms of agreement feature an arbitration provision, dramatically reducing legal access for consumers. Arbitration is more opaque, discovery restricted, and restricted review by appellate vehicles compared to a court proceeding.
- Data Sharing: The company provides personal data to third-party advertisement partners (such as Meta, Google, Microsoft) for use in targeted advertising.
"TERMS CONTAIN AN ARBITRATION AGREEMENT, A CLASS ACTION WAIVER, AND A JURY TRIAL WAIVER THAT AFFECT YOUR RIGHTS. IN ARBITRATION THERE IS NO JUDGE OR JURY AND THERE IS LESS DISCOVERY AND APPELLATE REVIEW THAN IN COURT. PLEASE REVIEW THESE PROVISIONS CAREFULLY."
In combination with "We may share some of your information with certain third-party partners to make advertising more relevant, to measure its effectiveness, and to help recognize your devices and serve ads. We or they may also employ cookies or similar technologies, as described above, to ensure you receive appropriate advertising and personalized experiences. These third-party advertising partners include, but are not limited to Meta, Google, AppLovin, LiveRamp, Criteo, IronSource, Microsoft, and their partners." despite the very public promises not to do exactly that.
