Cost of Software Updates on Used Vehicles
I’m an owner of a used 2020 Infiniti vehicle. There was a software update released to enable wireless CarPlay for my model and it was made free for the first year. Now, more than two years down the road, it’s a $300 fee to request this from dealers. It’s impossible to buy the USB dongle unless you’re an Infiniti dealer.
