Background
[Incident]
The trigger on V10 and V11 models of the Dyson cordless vacuums are very prone to breaking as the material and reinforcement of the piece is not sufficient. Recent updates to manufacturing has also restricted servicability of the product to repair the issue Dyson covers circuit board in glue which prevents repairs.
Several third party replacements are available and tutorials made available on youtube and iFixit Dyson V11 Trigger Replacement.
The trigger has several minor reinforcements, so the weakness of the thin material used is known, but savings seem to be put in place to not extend these fortifications beyond the weakest areas.
