South Eastern (train operating company)

Revision as of 10:33, 14 August 2025 by Keith (talk | contribs) (Have added a relevancy notice, as the incidents listed appear to be as a result of incompetency or mismanagement, rather than malicious or large-scale anti-consumer behaviour. Assuming that refunds etc. were provided after these events, I'm not sure how they relate to the wiki?)

Incidents edit

Lewisham Train Strandings (2 March 2018) edit

The Lewisham train strandings occurred on 2 March 2018. Eleven trains were involved in total. There was no heating, communication or working toilets on train 2M50. As a result, some trains were abandoned, even though it was unsafe to do so.[1]

South Eastern Cancellations (30 December 2023) edit

Due to flooding on the 30th December 2023, all South Eastern and Eurostar trains had to be cancelled. St Pancras Itl was filled with passengers. This affected people going on holiday the most as they couldn't take the train to their destination.[2]
