E-bike components
Customers with Shimano motors including the EP6 and EP801 are restricted from connecting electrical equipment such as lights to their E-bikes. Special software only accessible to qualified bike shops is required to activate ports or accept new devices. What used to be a click on an app is now a trip to a bike shop or paying hundreds for diagnostic equipment.[1]
