Life360's Terms of Service includes an arbitration agreement which users must accept to use the app. This clause was expanded in July 2025. Opt-out options were not clear and Life360 had not notified users of the Terms of Service update.^{[citation needed]}

Background

Life360 is a company that offers a location sharing app "Life360" to provide safety features to families. The app is highly rated because of the included features. Life360 has previously been involved in a lawsuit for selling user data to third parties.

After the lawsuit, the Terms of Service was updated to expand the arbitration clause. Users were not notified of the Terms of Service update outside of the app and had to accept the new terms to continue using the app.
