Ads in the infotainment display
Main article: Stellantis In Car Advertisements
Jeep vehicles have begun displaying pop-up commercials on the infotainment screen.[1] This occurs each time the vehicle come to a full stop, and they cannot be disabled. This is a safety issue since such advertisements are highly distracting, and pose as a risk while driving.[2][3]
Company Response
Automotive news outlet TheDrive reached out to Jeep regarding the on-screen pop-up ads and were provided the following response:
" This was an in-vehicle message designed to inform Jeep customers about Mopar extended vehicle care options. A temporary software glitch affected the ability to instantly opt out in a few isolated cases, though instant opt-out is the standard for all our in-vehicle messages. Our team had already identified and corrected the error, and we are following up directly with the customer to ensure the matter is fully resolved." [4]
