Consumer impact summary
edit- Requires downloading app: The customer is forced to download the company app in order to activate the product.[3] Additionally, per the company's Frequently Asked Questions web page, Android smart phone users may need to "enable geolocation even though the app itself does not use it".[4] This raises the question of privacy for that specific group of users as not everyone is willing to allow Google et. al access to their whereabouts.
- Repairability: Although Favero offers some spare parts, they are limited to external components. Internal troubleshooting requires a specialized technician authorized by Favero Electronics or the warranty will be voided.[5] The battery also cannot be replaced due to the design of the product line.[6]
