UFC-Que Choisir (Union Fédérale des Consommateurs-Que Choisir) is a federated consumer advocacy group established in France as a non-profit "association de loi 1901". The organization is known for its high-profile legal action against large organizations such as Google, Twitter (now X Corp), and Ubisoft; but it also conducts market field investigations, economic analyses, and consumer lobbying initiatives. UFC-Que Choisir publishes a magazine, Que Choisir (What to Choose?), where it publishes editorials on many of its activities, as well as product presentations and comparisons and market research findings; it also claims to provide local support through its chapters.

Structure

UFC-Que Choisir was established in 1951 under the French laws of 1901, which provide the country's primary legal framework for non-profit organizations. In addition, it claims to be approved as a consumer organization in application of Articles L. 411-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code.

The organization is formally split into local chapters, which are federated under a board. As of April 2026, UFC-Que Choisir claims to comprise 150 local chapters, and the current president of the board is Marie-Amandine Stévenin. The organization currently claims to employ 5,000 volunteers and 130 salaried employees.
