Since 2016, Haier has owned GE Appliances.

Takedown request of an open source Home Assistant integration (2024.01.15)

On 15 January 2024, Haier sent a takedown request to the developer of the hOn Home Assistant integration. Which makes Haier, Candy and Hoover products controllable via Home Assistant.

Following immense consumer and media pressure, Haier reversed their decision.
