Common issues include not following the correct preload outline (incident, company, product), references that don't use <ref></ref> or Cite web, leftover "WIP" markers, or long quotes not wrapped in Quote. You can help by applying the relevant preload sections, converting raw URLs into proper citations, and removing editor notes.

Cisco Meraki is a cloud managed IT infrastructure company. It was acquired by Cisco in 2012. Cisco Meraki devices include network firewalls, switching, wireless access points, and security cameras, all managed from their online web portal.[1]

Consumer impact summary

Since around 2017, hardware has been locked down with SecureBoot.[2][3] Hardware released before 2017, without SecureBoot enabled, or with SecureBoot exploits may be reflashable to OpenWrt.[4]

The company was previously friendly to open-source.[4][5][6]

Its software stack contains open source (GPL) code, but the company delays releasing source code,[7][8] and/or releases source code that doesn't build.[9][8]

Devices without active licensing, or devices that do not support third party firmware, become e-waste.

Some models may brick if tampered with.[10]
