Cisco Smart Licensing is a default licensing model offered by Cisco Systems Inc. for a wide variety of Cisco networking products. The purpose of Smart Licensing is to provide cloud-based management of software licenses to ensure validation of license entitlements and to ensure continued functionality. [1]
