Instagram's official response on the backlash of the "maps" feature. This was posted as a story, meaning after 24 hours it will be deleted. Users were upset about the maps feature since for some their exact location was enabled by default for other aspects of the app (ex: photo filters showing location, websites, etc.) and not to share their exact location with followers they don't know in-person (which can lead to stalking).
