==Discrepancy between product page claims and warranty== The product page of the '''GoPro HERO12 Black''' asserts that the camera is "Waterproof to 33ft (10m)" without a housing.<ref>https://gopro.com/en/us/shop/cameras/hero12-black/CHDHX-121-master.html</ref> This is highlighted in the Product Details section of the page, implying that the device is exceptionally durable and safe for use underwater. The warranty refutes it. The warranty by GoPro specifically says:<blockquote>''Because of possible user resealing errors, this product is not warranted against water housing leakage or any resulting damage.''<ref>https://community.gopro.com/s/article/Warranty-Information?language=en_US</ref></blockquote>This implies that while GoPro touts the camera as waterproof, the company is not guaranteeing against water damage as a result of user misdoing in keeping the device tightly sealed. This gap between how the product has been advertised as capable and how the warranty fails to protect for has caused the public to question the durability of the waterproof function and the accountability of the company in the event of water damage.
