The word's “L’Oreal Paris Partner” appear at the bottom of the video before disappearing. Allegedly, this does not appear to follow the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) guidelines for [https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/documents/plain-language/1001a-influencer-guide-508_1.pdf Disclosures 101 for Social Media Influencers] which states that all disclosures must be "hard to miss" and that "viewers may not notice videos with superimposed text". "Representatives for Nogueira did not immediately respond to TIME’s request for comment" [https://time.com/6250881/mikayla-nogueira-mascara-fake-eyelashes/] regarding this issue. In March of 2023 Nogueira also didn't respond to [https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/stefficao/mikayla-nogueira-accent-controversies BuzzFeedNews] regarding additional potentially allegedly misleading advertisements.
