==Consumer-impact summary== Complicates user choise, and reduses part compatability=An uneducated user or sales person can sell the wrong product to an unknowing customer, wasting the bottle, as the consumer will have to open the seal to notice that it is not compatable with their device, assuming they have the classic screw connect.|Potentually leaking=Some accounts on the internet have mentioned that the "quick connect" connector is not as air-tight as the other connector type.|Patented product=This connector exists to make machines uncompatable with the new "standard", meaning vendor lock-in for the company.|Market domination=With the pattented product becoming the standard, smaller re-fill companies can not compete with sales locations, as smaller, more "convenient" places can not hold enough inventory to provide both alternatives, as the bottles are rare enough to find as is.|Unneccesary deprication=If the old, universal standard falls off, old perfectly good machines will have to be replaced and thrown away due to one company deciding to dominate the market and vendor-locking the supply side.
