==Why it is a problem== I don't want the ISP to decide what kind of person I am based on what movies I watch, rent, buy. What T.V show I watch on my smart TV. I don't want the ISP to know my location, have access to my contact list, call logs, and especially access to my SMS messages when I use their app. I also don't want the ISP to have access to my documents, music, photo and video library just my using their App. If they want to transfer a file to me then they can use the standard https download protocol just like other apps do by redirecting you to a browser download url. If I want to upload something then I can just share it via the share action and choose the App. The App does not need full access to my phone files. At this point you have to accept their terms or you can't use their service.
