Changes and renaming of page edit

Hey @Mathev, this page is really coming along! Great job adding screenshots and documenting all of this. I made some formatting changes to have the sources and links as references in text plus I made the gallery a slideshow as a suggestion as it is more usable to browse the screeshots this way. Of course if you have other plans feel free to change the gallery back.

I changed the page title to use sentence case (as per our style guide) but I also changed ŠKODA to Skoda. I understand this is technically incorrect but it makes the page easier to find by search for the majority of people using english keyboard layouts. Kostas (talk) 15:19, 26 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Source for app downloads edit

I have found APKPure to be a reliable source for downloading apk files for sideloading. It has a copy of the latest (and last) version of Move&Fun, v6.1.8.

iPhone users in Europe are able to install apps from sources other the Apple Store if they are unning iOS 17.4 or later. I am not aware of any such sources that have a copy of Move&Fun. Littlerichley

CITIGOe-iV unable to connect to MySkoda app since 6 August 2025 edit

I have received the following email from [email protected]

"We have received an update from our technical department. We would like to inform you that the issue you are experiencing is related to your vehicle, which affects all remote services for MOD1 and MOD2 vehicles. Please rest assured that we are actively working on finding a solution. We extend our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this matter may have caused you".

This is a Chatgpt explanation of MOD1/MOD2:

"What Are MOD1 and MOD2?

MOD stands for “Mobile Online Dienste” (German for mobile online services)—essentially the connectivity hardware/software versions fitted to Škoda vehicles.

According to Škoda's official communications, these refer to generations of the connected services infrastructure used in their cars Škoda Auto .

Key Details from Škoda:

Škoda groups vehicles by their MOD generation: MOD1, MOD2, later followed by MOD3 (and presumably MOD4). These classifications define the capabilities and limitations of the car’s connected systems Škoda Auto .

MOD1 and MOD2 vehicles:

Will lose access to most Škoda Connect services after the impending 2G/3G network shutdown in Europe, because their hardware cannot be updated to support LTE/5G Škoda Auto .

Exception: MOD2 may still support Infotainment Online, but Emergency Call (eCall) will not be functional for MOD2 (and MOD1 already lacked compatibility) once networks are phased out Škoda Auto .

The network phase-out timeline:

Certain countries (e.g., Switzerland, Sweden, Iceland) will start shutting down 2G/3G on 1 January 2026. The rest of Europe follows between 2029 and later years Škoda Auto Škoda Ireland .

Summary Table MOD Generation Škoda Connect Service Support After 2G/3G Shutdown MOD1 All connected features—including Infotainment, Emergency Call—will be unavailable MOD2 Infotainment Online might still work, but Emergency Call will not MOD3+ These generations are planned to receive over-the-air or dealer-based updates to continue supporting services post-network shutdown Škoda Auto In Context

These MOD classifications are not car models. Instead, they indicate what generation of connectivity system your Škoda has, which affects:

Whether Škoda Connect features (like Vehicle Status, Parking Position, Breakdown Call, etc.) will continue working after 2G/3G decommissioning.

Your ability to access Infotainment Online and Emergency Call.

If you know your car’s manufacturing date, you can check with your Škoda dealer or your vehicle’s documentation to identify whether it’s MOD1, MOD2, or a newer generation—this will determine which connectivity features remain available after the network shutdown."

If a solution is not forthcoming, surely this would strengthen the arument that Move&Fun should be retored, otherwise owners will be unable to set charging schedules.
