Editing FreePhoneLine revokes Lifetime VoIP service for monthly subscription model.

In the second half of 2024, FreePhoneLine started sending out emails stating that they are changing the terms of sale, revoking everyone's Lifetime License and replacing it with a monthly subscription model.

Backlash ensued, since people paid in excess of $100 for these "Lifetime" licenses.  Additionally, the original terms of service already included a 911 pay-per-use fee of $35<ref>https://support.freephoneline.ca/hc/en-us/articles/212429546-911-Emergency-Services-Police-Fire-Ambulance-Rescue-with-Freephoneline-Desktop</ref> every time it was called whether an emergency or not. And their prices for the license were already increasing year by year. 

The company ignored all complaints.  The Better Business Bureau could not even get a hold of anyone to talk to at the company.
