Sharing what I said to another user on the same matter:

It's worse than useless because:

  1. Users are less likely to take action if they see a blue link instead of a red link and it's not directly related to their goal/task.
  2. Visitors to the wiki are more likely to be left with a negative impression if something catches their attention, only to find their time wasted.

I'm not saying it has to be a thesis, but there does need to be something of substance to it.

This is especially so if you're not going to immediately add more information to replace placeholder text in the main body, like the Nintendo eShop page you created (and which is currently slated for deletion). — Sojourna (talk) 03:43, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
