Extron is a Canadian manufacturer of audiovisual equipment with 30 offices based around the world.[1] They have a strong foothold in the systems integration market, with lots of use in corporate, education and professional AV.
Consumer-impact summary
[edit | edit source]Although Extron makes most instruction manuals freely available on its website, all firmware and software is locked behind a login - "Extron Insiders". In order to get access, you have to be a "technology professional" which requires manual approval from the company.[2]
Extron Product Configuration Software (PCS) requires an Insider login and online activation.
