On August 13, 2025, Starlink announced a terms of service change that modified the "Pause" feature for their satellite internet plans. The feature that previously allowed users to pause their internet subscription at no cost would be removed, replacing it with a new feature called "Standby Mode." This alternative feature allows users to maintain low speed internet access, with speeds around 500kb/s for $5USD a month. On August 13, 2025, Starlink announced a terms of service change that modified the "Pause" feature for their satellite internet plans. The feature that previously allowed users to pause their internet subscription at no cost would be removed, replacing it with a new feature called "Standby Mode." This alternative feature allows users to maintain low speed internet access, with speeds around 500kb/s for $5USD a month.
