Revolut Group Holdings Ltd, doing business as Revolut, is a British multinational neobank and fintech company that offers banking services for individuals and businesses. [Incident]

[edit | edit source]

When a customer of Revolut creates an account but doesn't complete the setup step of providing a government ID they will receive emails on the given address telling them to complete their setup in a pattern as follows[1]:

  • 2 Emails 1 day apart from each other
  • 2 Emails 2 days apart from each other
  • 2 Emails 4 days apart from each other

A direct date of the incident is not determinable, as due to lack of sources it is unclear when Revolut started enacting this practice.
