Google Password Manager Overrides Third-Party Autofill on Android

(adding this here since I cannot edit the page. Happened to me personally and I have found evidence of it happening to more people)

Using third-party autofill (Bitwarden, 1Password) stopped working in Google Chrome for Android. Google Pass Manager is softly imposed for a more fluent user experience. Even deleting all the passwords and disabling Google Autofill does not work.

suggestions list is uneditable for regular users

hi @Justanuser - I've moved the page to mainspace so that people can edit it. I've also confirmed you as a user, so you shouldn't have to deal with any mroe captchas, and you should be able to create talk page discussions properly Keith (talk) 10:00, 12 August 2025 (UTC)

Printers page

I feel like there needs to be a guide or smth along those lines on Printers as a whole. Which brands to avoid, what brands to shortlist, what things to consider, etc. Maybe we could bundle in 3D printers while we're at it? SinexTitan (talk) 18:07, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

I don't think we really want to get into 'buyer's guide' territory on the wiki. I assume such things exist elsewhere? A theme article covering the home printing industry and the various ways that companies mess with users could absolutely make sense though, but it should be kept focused on describing and explaining the various ways that companies affect users. If there exists a buyer's guide-type-thing somewhere else on the internet which is generally acknowledged to be of high quality, then we could potentially link that in the 'see also' section of such an article. Back when I started this discussion, I saw a few new user generated guides pop up which led me to this epiphany. It's totally understandble to not start a "buyer's guide" from scratch if there exists one that's better. Speaking on that I too do not know if such a thing does exist. I had a brief look into 3D printers and came across r/3dprinting which does a megathread each month on purchase advice. If that's deemed fitting we may link it in the "see also" sections of relating pages. Finally regarding the "theme article" I say yes. SinexTitan (talk) 11:00, 9 September 2025 (UTC)

Only incident pages suggested here?

I'm not sure if there is a policy page I missed here, but I'm having some confusion regarding this page. It seems to only contain incident pages, despite this wiki also containing products, organizations, themes, etc. (according to Consumer_Rights_Wiki:Article_types), and this page being seemingly labeled as a general article suggestion page, not just for incidents. Could we use this page suggest more than just incidents, or is there another page for suggesting the other types of articles? PixelRunner (talk) 03:15, 30 August 2025 (UTC)

Hi there, the purpose of this page is to list all types of article suggestions. If you don’t want to start a company page even just a little bit, you can add a heading here for that for companies/organizations and add the name of the organization and why it meets the standards to be included here. 2800$ for a dj mixer? serato included with purchase? not now 300$+ OR monthly FEE to use it without NAG SCREEN/boxes

no repair options except send it in for fee.. no guides no info... i guess no one opened one up before... oh wait yeah they DCMA everyones videos on it......

AllTrails sneakily revoked lifetime licenses and forced subscription on users

As per title. AllTrails at some point AllTrails was offering lifetime subscriptions that were discontinued in 2019 (see Business Response here).

They have also had shady marketing practices whereby users believed they were buying perpetual licenses but in reality the T&C had in its small print that these licenses were for a 3-year-plan (again, see earlier comments here and here too).

While this probably doesn't count as "evidence", I know a person who bought one of such lifetime licenses and after a few years a few devices later, they reinstalled AllTails only to find out that their license magically disappeared. They contacted their customer service who denied restoring the lifetime license at all despite all personal details of purchaser had been provided. AllTrails solicited a proof of transaction which the buyer couldn't find due to the time that lapsed. Either way, Reddit reports suggest that the best case-scenario would be offering a 3-year-plan (see comments here).

This is a really shady company that has misled and violated consumer rights. It deserves a page to remind the public of its dark past of revoking lifetime licenses, shady selling practices, and forcing a subscription model.
