Apologies for the lack of reliable sources. I am attempting to get information from EE via replies on X but it is a slow process.

For the door-to-door sales evidence this is more difficult as I don't believe they will never admit it has taken place and I do not use a ring doorbell or similar for privacy reasons. If it helps at all, I am the person who posted it on X. They have attempted door-to-door sales with me multiple times despite being in a no cold calling area, and with stickers on my door stating "No cold callers". They were persistent in sticking around after being told 3 times I was not interested. Neighbors also reported them badgering teenagers with anxiety, and I had to reassure multiple neighbors that their internet services were not going to be switch off if they did not upgrade. I believe they were using the digital switchover of phone lines as fearmongering, which is completely unrelated to broadband services. They also made technical claims which were factually incorrect (that a public static ip can be obtained by using your own router), attempting to make a sale. This has been across multiple visits, across multiple years. I reported the cases to EE but it has not stopped. I attempted to report it to Ofcom but they said there was nothing they could do as I was not a customer. I also attempted to report it to police as harassment but the police effectively said it is not serious enough, and if they would not leave, to just close the door.
