TeamViewer has previously sold a "perpetual" license for software versions 8-12, which are now discontinued. The licensing model of TeamViewer products changed in the meantime, perpetual licenses are no longer supported, and instead new customers are sold a subscription model.[1] The customer response on the community forum focuses on the legal aspect of this conduct, and about organizing a class action lawsuit against TeamViewer because alleged violation of the perpetual license terms.
