I think this page steps a bit over the anti-consumer threshold. More precise and descriptive subsection titles ('Bias' is particularly weird) would be useful as well as a more narrow focus which avoids overlapping too much with dark patterns, etc.
I might also suggest changing the page title to 'predatory microtransactions' as this would help to avoid the implication that all microtransactions are automatically anti-consumer. [[User:Keith|Keith]] ([[User talk:Keith|talk]]) 18:10, 20 May 2025 (UTC)

Broken Filters

There's an issue with the spam filter at the moment which means that, due to the presence of a restricted word, no-one without advanced persms is able to edit the page.

Overbroad page

I think this page steps a bit over the anti-consumer threshold. More precise and descriptive subsection titles ('Bias' is particularly weird) would be useful as well as a more narrow focus which avoids overlapping too much with dark patterns, etc.

I might also suggest changing the page title to 'predatory microtransactions' as this would help to avoid the implication that all microtransactions are automatically anti-consumer. Keith (talk) 18:10, 20 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
