A lot of Miele appliances are equipped with online functionality.
The Protocols used for managing those appliances are proprietary. No Matter integration is Provided although Miele is part of CSA.[1]
Miele app incident
With Version 4.0 released 7/2021 the Miele companion app suddenly lost critical advertised features:
- the Washing assistant
- the ability to view the remaining detergent in washing machines.
These functions came back slowly in 2022 after lots of negative feedback of users.
