One can make the argument that perhaps it alleviates the excessive wait times in store. Well that just as much pawns it off on the call centers. Why not allow the cancelling of phone lines on the AT&T application? That would alleviate the stress on both, the store and call center. Perhaps on the other side of the aisle, I can make the claim that they prefer to make it difficult for the customer to remove the phone lines to [https://www.federalregister.gov/d/2024-25534/p-15 discourage them from cancelling the at all].
