Suggestions about Micron exiting the consumer market

[edit source]

I know we've been hearing about Micron and Crucial exiting the consumer market. In my honest opinion, when they do this by only focusing on the AI data centers, I believe it'll hurt the planet in the long run. if everyone agrees with me on this one, let us know. I feel like 'company that makes a product deciding not to sell that product anymore, with no effect on existing consumers' is probably out of scope for the wiki. could be extended to too many things, far too easily.
Not every thing that a company does that we don't like is inherently anti-consumer, or at least not in a way that makes sense to include on the wiki.
Also, Micron RAM will still be widely available to consumers, just through their partner brands rather than directly. Keith (talk) 13:04, 19 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
