For Anyone in The EU a Court Precedent has been set.

here is a little snippet of what it says :
the case UsedSoft GmbH v Oracle International Corp, the EU's Court of Justice explicitly ruled that people own their purchased software : ""the copyright holder transfers the right of ownership of the copy of the computer program to his customer"" 188.150.46.200 00:50, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
